The Supreme Court granted anticipatory bail to Congress leader Pawan Khera in a defamation and forgery case filed by Assam Police on a complaint by Riniki Bhuyan Sarma. The court stressed that personal liberty under Article 21 cannot be jeopardized lightly and directed Khera to cooperate with the investigation.
