Pitru Paksha 2025 will begin on September 7. The sixteen-day observance begins on the full moon day in the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month. The fortnightly observance ends on the Amavasya tithi in the month of Ashwin, which is also considered to be the most auspicious day to offer homage to those who have passed on.
