Mondays, or Somwars, that occur during the Shravan month are considered especially auspicious as Shravan Somwars are believed to be highly effective for pleasing Lord Shiva. On these somwars, devotees observe fasts, perform puja and Abhishekam, and offer milk, honey, bael leaves, and flowers to the deity.
