WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature that will let its users to reserve usernames matching with Facebook and Instagram to maintain a unified identity across Meta platforms. The system will include verification through Meta’s Accounts Centre. Meta plans to introduce the username feature ahead of its 2026 compliance deadline.
