Google DeepMind has launched AlphaGenome, an AI tool that analyses DNA to predict the effects of mutations, including non-coding regions. It enables creation of synthetic “designer” DNA to control gene activation in specific tissues, advancing personalized medicine. Trained on human and mouse genomes, it promises new insights for disease research and therapies.
