SBI Chairman CS Setty said the State Bank of India will hire 16,000 employees this fiscal while planning to open 200 to 300 new branches as part of its wider expansion strategy. The bank aims to strengthen its network, increase support services and enhance its presence across rural and semi-urban regions.
