Cambodia has opened the USD 2-billion Chinese-built Techo International Airport near Phnom Penh, replacing the capital’s old airport. Designed by Foster and Partners, it can handle 13 million passengers annually, aiming for 50 million by 2050. The project, however, faces criticism over land evictions affecting thousands of residents.
