At least 22 people died and 55 were injured on Jan 14, 2026, when a construction crane collapsed onto a passenger train in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The train, en route to Ubon Ratchathani, derailed and briefly caught fire. The crane was part of a high-speed rail project. An investigation into the cause of the collapse is underway.
