The 38-year-old woman, a resident of North Carolina, was allegedly mauled to death by a stray dog whom she had been taking care of after she tried to defend her own pet. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, November 23, in the yard of the woman's home on North Peavine Road near Bonnetsville. After the incident, the mixed breed stray dog was euthanised.
