The woman booked an Uber to parcel the jacket; however, when the driver arrived at her flat to collect the parcel, the woman, identified as Aneri Thakkar, was left concerned, as not only was he allegedly drunk, but he was also being "overfriendly".
What Happened During The Delivery
Taking to her social media handle, Thakkar recalled the entire interaction. As per her video, the Uber driver first asked her if she could charge his phone, only for her to later find out that he had enough battery. The driver then began to ask her if he could smoke on her balcony. Suspicious of his intentions, Thakkar refused. Ultimately, when the driver was all set to leave, he allegedly began to force the woman to give him her phone number, stating that he might need to contact her during the delivery. Thakkar, on the other hand, clarified that her contact was already on the app, yet the driver continued to ask for her number. In her post, Thakkar wrote: "@uber_india, I'm still trying to give him the benefit of doubt, that maybe he didn't have as bad intentions, but it's tough for me to find any excuse, he was definitely scary drunk and asking to smoke in my house, and he came back up in 2-3 minutes, what phone would have been charged in that time, not to mention, it was already at 43%, and maybe he just wanted to smoke, but then why not take the parcel and then go down and do it?"

"Please, ladies, if you live in a gated society with security at the entrance, avoid allowing delivery personnel to come directly to your flat. Whenever possible, ask them to leave your order with the security desk. It may be a little less convenient, but it's a safer option," commented the next person.
