After spending 48 hours in Japan, the Kansas dog has been reunited with its family. Two days ago, Igro was mistakenly transported to Japan by the United Airlines in a major embarrassment to them. The Swindle family who was moving from Oregon to Wichita with their 10-year-old German shepherd had the worst time of the life when they realised their dog was not even in the same country. In his place, they found a Great Dane that was supposed to be in Japan.

The Swindles were in a panic as Irgo was flying for the first time and on top of that, he also had an ear infection. Talking about their reunion, Kara Swindle told CNN affiliate KSNW, "He instantly jumped up and was crying. When he's super excited, he cries. It feels actually amazing to finally have him back."

The airline apologised to the family and said that the would arrange transportation to return of their pet. Irgo was later flown back to the United States on a private charter plane. The mixup was the second controversy this week for United Airlines. On Monday, a French bulldog died on a Houston-to-New York flight after a flight attendant told its owners to put the dog, in an overhead bin. The airline said they are investigating the incident "to prevent this from ever happening again."

Following which, they have planned to issue bright colored bag tags to people traveling with pets to prevent animal carriers from being placed in overhead bins. United Airlines have been in multiple controversies in the past including problems caused to passengers. The airlines have neither spared animals with various controversies involving customer's pets.
