Beijing, Sep 16: Accepting a marriage proposal in the middle of a flight cost a flight attendant her precious job! Yes, you read it right. A flight attendant working with China Eastern Airlines was reportedly fired for accepting a viral marriage proposal from her longtime boyfriend. According to a report by Fox News, the incident took place in May while the female flight attendant received a dismissal letter from the carrier in the mail on September 10. It must be noted that her employment with China Eastern Airlines has been terminated over concerns that she “neglected passenger safety.”
According to details by Asia One, the man proposed the female staffer roughly 30 minutes after takeoff. In the video that went viral on social media, her boyfriend is seen going down on his knee at the front of the aircraft and proposed her mid-air. The woman, shocked and happy by his gesture, accepting the offer and the couple then shared a sweet embrace.

The passengers onboard the flight applauded. Expressing her happiness, the woman said, "I really didn't know my boyfriend will be proposing to me on this flight, thanks for being my witnesses”. Reports by Channel 8 informed that the airline in a letter said that the ‘private romantic behaviour caused turmoil among passengers’ and it was extremely irresponsible of the female flight attendant for the safety of passengers.
