Reach your mid-20s and everyone starts asking you the dreaded question of marriage. Getting a decent job was the first priority but now even just finishing your education is motive enough for people to start questioning. While some people can deal with the constant questioning, there comes a point when you tend to get frustrated. In a recent case, a music producer named Nikhil Malik did a couple photoshoot with him alone! Although this was a funny way to answer it, Faiz Nurdin in Indonesia killed his neighbour because she was asking him the same question.

Nikhil Malik is getting much appreciation for his innovation. He did the typical poses which couples do for the pre-wedding shoots. He used placards and props to enhance the photos and make them appealing. His move has definitely been loved by a lot of youngsters who are facing the same question. Nikhil's photo shoot got a lot of likes and shares on social media platforms. Although his parents are cool about him not taking the next step of life soon, his relatives had many reasons for him to get married. Seeing his photos everyone is sure having a good laugh. While talking to Hindustan Times, Malik said, “My mom couldn’t stop laughing and all my relatives are actually loving the pictures. But after that good laugh, the eternal question pops up again ‘So, finally when are you getting married?’” Wonder, how much is the shoot helping him now?

Funny Wednesday! Haha, so I shot something super funny ( VERY DIFFERENT from the work I usually do) with my childhood friend Nikhil a while back . He called me up randomly one day saying, " Getting older and with Indian relatives asking you if you're with someone, when are you getting married is just exhausting. So why not tell them yes, I am with someone who I totally adore and want to spend the rest of my life with?" We ended up brainstorming and came up with this fun impromtu shoot to basically shut every Indian relatives mouth by saying that you don't need to be with someone to make yourself happy , you are enough! . . . #lol #coupleshoot #funny #bhumikab #explore #gurgaon #single #exploremore #couplegoals #selflove #loveyourself #loveyourselffirst

In another serious case from Indonesia when a man called Faiz Nurdin strangled his neigbour, a pregnant lady because she asked him too many times 'when he was getting married.' The shocking incident took place in January. Nurdin took things to quite an extreme when he visited the victim Asiyah's house and strangled her, without caring about the fact that she was expecting a child. Asiyah tried to save herself but to no avail. Nurdin decided to shut his neigbour's nagging once and for all. But this incident just shows how the constant pressure can push someone to their limits.

Leaving these two incidents, there have been numerous cases, especially in rural India where girls tend to take the extreme step and commit suicide in the pressure of marriage. It is a thing to wonder if the society as a whole should decide what is right and wrong, for a personal choice like marriage. Someone who is not ready for taking responsibility or someone who is just starting out their career may not really be able to tackle the pressure well. It is important to realise, especially for the parents about how much pressure to put on your child for settling down. Relatives will keep asking about marriage but parents can tackle it until the child is really not ready for settle. The question 'when are you getting married' can really drive people to do unpredictable things.
