In a shocking incident in Basti district, a newlywed woman, Ruksana, conspired with her lover Rinku, to murder her husband Anees just seven days after their wedding. Ruksana allegedly provided Anees’s location to Rinku, who lured him under the pretext of asking for directions and shot him in the forehead with a country-made pistol. Despite being rushed to Shri Ram Hospital and later referred to the Medical College, Anees succumbed to his injuries. Police quickly launched an investigation, arresting Rinku late Thursday night, November 20, who confessed to the crime and revealed the conspiracy.
