Economist Bibek Debroy has passed away at 69. AIIMS Delhi said that Bibek Debroy passed away today, November 1, at 7 AM due to intestinal obstruction. Besides being an economist, Bibek Debroy was also the chairman of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Economic Advisory Council and a member of the NITI Aayog until June 5, 2019. Throughout his career, Debroy authored and edited several books, articles, and papers. He was also a consulting and contributing editor with several newspapers.
