The report of Bihar's caste-based census has been published. Bihar has a population of about 13 crore people, according to the research. Out of the total population, the backward class in the state is 27.13%, the extremely backward class is 36.01%, and the general category is 15.52%. Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took to his official X account and wrote, "Today, on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the data of caste-based census conducted in Bihar has been published. Many congratulations to the entire team engaged in the work of caste-based enumeration. The proposal for caste-based enumeration was passed unanimously in the Legislature."
