The Konkan Railway in coordination with the Central Railway has decided to run additional Ganpati special trains in order to clear extra rush of passengers during the Ganesh Chaturthi Festival. This year, the Ganpati festival will kickstart on August 31. While issuing the official notification, the Railway Ministry said that all norms of State and Central Government regarding COVID-19 including social distancing and sanitisation should be followed in trains and at all railway stations.
