Noida Police have busted a gang involved in blackmailing LGBTQ+ community members through gay dating apps like Blued and Grindr. Two suspects, a 22-year-old from Bulandshahr and a 20-year-old law student from Noida, were arrested on Friday. The duo allegedly created premium accounts on the apps to contact victims, lure them to secret locations, and record explicit videos during sexual encounters. They then blackmailed their victims, demanding money and jewellery in exchange for not releasing the videos. Over 20 individuals have reportedly fallen victim to the scheme. Police recovered two mobile phones and a bike from the accused. The arrests came after a victim reported a demand for INR 30,000 and a gold necklace, along with threats of murder and video exposure. Police are now investigating other gang members involved. Ahmedabad: 21-Year-Old Youth Abducted and Extorted by Man He Met on Gay Dating App, Probe Launched.
