HC on Rape Victim's Children: Ensure Offices and Educational Institutions Don't Insist on Father's Name of Rape Victim's Child, Says Punjab and Haryana High Court to State Governments

The Punjab and Haryana High Court recently asked both the state to ensure that educational institutions and offices don't insist on the father's name of the rape victim's child. As per a report in Live Law, the court made the direction on a suggestion put forth by Amicus Curiae Tanu Bedi Bedi gave the suggestion in a matter regarding the welfare and rehabilitation of rape victims and children born from such offence.
