The high court bench of Justice A Badharudeen said that there was sufficient material against the accused to indicate that the alleged offences against the petitioner, PV Samuel, were prima facie made out.
The Kerala High Court recently rejected a man's plea to quash criminal proceedings against him after he was booked for posting a video on YouTube and Facebook alleging that Christian nuns were being made to serve as "concubines" of priests and bishops. The high court bench of Justice A Badharudeen said that there was sufficient material against the accused to indicate that the alleged offences against the petitioner, PV Samuel, were prima facie made out. The accused was booked for offences under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.
