An Indian army jawan, Serto Thangthang Kom, aged 41 and a member of the Defence Service Corps (DSC), was reportedly abducted and later killed in Maipur's Imphal West. The deceased jawan was taken hostage from his home in Tarung on Saturday by three armed miscreants. "An Indian Army soldier, Sep Serto Thangthang Kom (41), was abducted & later killed, by 3 unidentified miscreants, while on leave at Tarung, Happy Valley, Imphal West. He was deployed at DSC Platoon, Leimakhong, Manipur.
