Meerut: 2 Children Narrowly Escape Building Collapse in Sadar Bazaar, Video Surfaces

Two young boys, aged 6-7, narrowly avoided a building collapse in Meerut’s Sadar Bazaar on Friday, an incident captured on CCTV that has since gone viral. The boys were crossing a narrow lane when the outer section of a 100 to 150-year-old building, reportedly in a dilapidated state, collapsed just seconds after they passed. The children sensed the danger in time and ran to safety, escaping unscathed. No injuries were reported. The building, owned by a Jain community trust, had been flagged as hazardous by the Cantonment Board, which had issued multiple notices for its demolition.
