A fire has broken out near a petrol pump in Parel, Mumbai. The fire is suspected to have started due to gas leakage in the metropolitan pipeline. Three fire engines have reached the spot. Efforts are being made by the fire brigade to control the fire. There is a Mahanagar gas pipeline near the petrol pump and it is suspected that the fire started due to gas leakage from that pipeline. Meanwhile, officials of Mahanagar Gas and local public representatives have reached the spot. As a precautionary measure, electricity supply to some shops in the area has been shut off. It is also requested to vacate the premises. Some shops around have been closed.
