CJI DY Chandrachud today, November 8, told a lawyer that he is playing with his emotions while hearing a PIL seeking to appoint Yoga mitras in all schools. During the hearing of the case, CJI DY Chandrachud said that the Supreme Court cannot direct the government to appoint Yoga mitras in all schools. "You are saying this to someone who practices yoga.. question is can we tell the government to do it.. there are hundred good things which can be done for children but courts will look into it," he added. Post this, the lawyer, identified as advocate Ashwini Upadhyay, said that when Justice DY Chandrachud became the CJI, his item was the first one, and now the last one is also his. To this, CJI DY Chandrachud said, "Now you are playing on my emotions.
