Patra's remarks have drawn a sharp reaction from Opposition parties, including Congress and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Naveen Patnaik slammed the BJP leader and said that calling Mahaprabhu Jagannath a bhakt of another human being is an insult to the Lord.
