A major controversy has come to light from Gujarat, where patients admitted to a hospital in Rajkot were allegedly made BJP members after taking OTO from them. A video going viral on social media shows patients at Rajkot's Ranchoddas Bapu Charitable Trust eye hospital being woken up in the middle of the night and enrolled as BJP members after their cataract surgeries. It is alleged that patients registered at Junagadh's Trimurti Hospital were brought to Rajkot for cataract surgeries on September 16. During the night, a man allegedly woke the patients and collected OTPs from them, thereby enrolling them as BJP members. The incident came to light after Kamlesh Thummar, a patient from Junagadh, who captured the incident on video and shared it online.
