A man from Jharkhand’s Bokaro district, identified as Mohammad Naushad alias Qasmi, has been arrested after he made a highly inflammatory post on social media thanking Pakistan and the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack. In his now-deleted post, shared from the account @MNQUASMIMD, Naushad wrote in Urdu, “Shukriya Pakistan, shukriya Lashkar-e-Taiba. May God keep you safe always, Ameen. If RSS, BJP, Bajrang Dal, and godi media become your special targets, we’ll be even happier.” The post sparked widespread outrage online and prompted immediate action from Bokaro police. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act for promoting enmity, supporting terrorist ideology, and inciting violence. His phone and digital devices have been seized for forensic analysis.
