A tragic incident occurred in Umaria during a Ram Navami immersion procession when a 35-year-old man collapsed and died while performing. The deceased, identified as Ramgareeb, was dressed as Goddess Kali and dancing in the procession in Pathari village on March 28. Eyewitnesses said he suddenly appeared uneasy before collapsing mid-performance, triggering panic among villagers. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. According to CMHO Dr. V.K. Chandel, initial signs point to a suspected heart attack, possibly caused by intense physical exertion or sudden stress.
