The Supreme Court on Friday, October 20, said that Tamil Nadu's ban on reinforced paper cups is reasonable and in the public interest to control pollution. The apex court made the observation while refusing to interfere with the order of the Madras High Court, which upheld the ban on reinforced paper cups introduced in the state in 2019.
