The portion of NH-44 at Singhu border has been reopened on Tuesday. The portion was closed for kver a year due to the farmers' protest against the three farm laws. Meanwhile, the highway is still closed for heavy vehicles as repair work is underway. The protest was called off earlier this month after the Centre repealed the three laws.
