Trichy: Government Doctor Arrested Under Pocso Act for Sexual Assault of Minor Schoolgirls at Hostel in Tamil Nadu

Dr S Samson Daniel (31), a government doctor, has been arrested under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually assaulting minor girls at a hostel affiliated with a government-aided school in Tamil Nadu's Trichy. His mother, S. Grace Sagayarani (54), the headmistress of the school, was also taken into custody for allegedly covering up the offenses. Dr Daniel, a resident of Palakkarai in Trichy, was employed at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Anbil near Lalgudi. He frequently visited the school hostel under the guise of conducting health checkups. During these visits, he is accused of inappropriately touching girls aged between five and ten.
