A viral video captured part of the altercation, prompting widespread attention. However, Haridwar police, in a statement, refuted claims of brutality, asserting they acted amid heavy traffic and extreme heat. मेरठ (UP) के सतेंद्र राठी फैमिली के साथ हरिद्वार से गंगा स्नान कर लौट रहे थे। रास्ते में पानी बोतल लेने को रुके। इतने में हरिद्वार पुलिस ने चालान काट दिया। सतेंद्र ने विरोध किया तो उन्हें खूब पीटा। पुलिस घसीटकर थाने ले गई।
