This statement comes after Soren's post on X, citing his "three options" following his resignation from the post as chief minister – "retire, start a new party, or join another party". Back in 2022, Jharkhand's current chief minister Hemant Soren's brother Basant Soren, who also visited Delhi amidst the political discord in Jharkhand, had given a similar reason for his visit. In the video from 2022, he stated that he had visited Delhi to purchase undergarments since he had run out of them. Champai Soren's statement gains importance, as there were speculations that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader would join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
