At the event on Sunday, December 21, Shashi Tharoor sang a Bollywood classic, Ek Ajanabee Haseena Se, from the 1974 film Ajanabee, starring Rajesh Khanna and Zeenat Aman. In the video, the Congress Member of Parliament can be heard singing a couplet from the song, as he faces a camera. Tharoor and Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad inaugurated the Nalanda Literature Festival 2025.
