Dinesh Chandimal was left in absolute disbelief after he was trapped lbw by Shoaib Bashir with the ball keeping very low, on Day 1 of the England vs Sri Lanka 1st Test at Old Trafford in Manchester on August 21. The right-arm spinner came on to bowl in the 23rd over and this dismissal happened in the third ball when the delivery hardly bounced, kept very low and struck Chandimal near his ankle. The right-hander, after having missed the shot and struck so low on his pads, reviewed the on-field decision of out and replays confirmed that the ball had stayed low and would have crashed into the base of off-stump.
