New Zealand Are World Test Champions, Beat India in WTC 2019-21 Final by 8 Wickets to Win the Inaugural Edition of the Tournament
New Zealand defeated India by eight wickets to win the ICC World Test Championship 2019-21 in Southampton. Set 139 runs to win on reserve day, Kiwis reached the target cautiously with Kane Williamson emerging as top scorer (52*). New Zealand apparently are the first world Test champions.
New Zealand became the first team to win the newly introduced ICC World Test Championship (WTC). The Blackcaps defeated India in the final of WTC 2019-21 in Southampton by eight wickets after Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor stitched an unbeaten match-winning partnership.
