Erik Ten Hag and his team continued to have a poor time this season with a second consecutive loss in the Champions League. With this defeat, Manchester United are bottom of the Group A standings.
Manchester United's season kept getting worse with the Red Devils suffering yet another loss, this time at the hands of Galatasaray at home in the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 on October 4. Erik Ten Hag's side took an early lead in this game with new signing Rasmus Hojlung scoring in the 17th minute. But former United player Wilfried Zaha brought the Turkish outfit back on level terms minutes later. Hojlund put United ahead once again in the second half only for Galatasaray to peg them back through Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu. Casemiro was then sent off following a second yellow card and later, Mauro Icardi helped his team win with a goal after missing a penalty.
