July 14 marks the first day of the 2024 Paris Olympic Torch Relay in the French capital. It was a highly symbolic 57th stop on the course of the Relay as it fell on Bastille Day, the National Day of France. Former Arsenal and French striker Thierry Henry began the relay as he carried the torch through the city before handing it over to the Country’s other iconic athlete, Romane Dicko. Henry is the current coach of the U23 French football team for the Paris Olympics 2024. Arsenal’s former coach, Arsene Wenger, also had a chance to hold the torch as he ignited the Caudron in his home a few days ago.
