The Croatian-Australian tennis player beat Serena Williams in a third-round match at US Open 2022. This was the last match of Williams' career after she had earlier announced that US Open 2022 would be her last tournament.
Ajla Tomljanovic said she was feeling 'sorry' after defeating Serena Williams in what turned out to be the latter's last match in the sport. Williams retired from tennis after the third-round defeat to Tomljanovic and the Croatian-Australian player, in a video interview, said that she also 'loves Serena' as much as all the fans do.
