Mira Murati resigned form OpenAI on September 25, 2024. As reported by The Information, OpenAI had difficulties recruiting and retaining AI researchers. It also mentioned that the Sam Altman run faced tough competition from the old and new rivals. The report said that ex-OpenAI CTO Mira Murati had been talking to the company staff and asking them to join her venture. Bindu Reddy, CEO of Abacus AI, reacted to this and said, 'Soon we will have over 10 ex-OpenAI start-ups competing with OpenAI.'
