OpenAI launched a wide range of new capabilities to its platform at Dev Day SF. The 2024 OpenAI DevDay 2024 event, targeted at attracting developers, introduced capabilities like Realtime API for building apps with AI-generated voice responses and with low latency. Another feature launched by OpenAI was Prompt Caching, which caches frequently used contexts between API calls.
