Iran has announced that the Strait of Hormuz is now “completely open” for commercial traffic, marking a key step toward easing tensions in the ongoing conflict involving the US and Israel that had driven energy prices higher. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on X, “In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire.” He added that ships can move on the “coordinated route as already announced” by Iranian authorities, indicating controlled but resumed maritime operations. Iran Reopens Strait of Hormuz for Commercial Traffic
In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Rep. of Iran.
