"The footage revealed that the victim was assaulted inside the bar by a group of people at around 2.30 AM. Thereafter, she was dragged towards the basement by pulling her hair and clothes, where she was again assaulted and appeared to become semi-conscious," Pegu said. Investigators noted that several individuals involved were associated with the establishment, named "The Locals", and that the management failed to report the incident to the local police station. Authorities are also examining whether the venue operated past its permitted closing time of 12:30 AM.
Viral Footage and Eyewitness Claims
The circulating online video purportedly shows a woman being struck while lying on the floor of a building's parking lot, with another individual later intervening to assist. A security guard stationed at the building claimed that the altercation began after the woman had hit a female bouncer with a beer bottle inside the club. "This angered other bouncers there, and they brought her downstairs and assaulted her," the guard alleged. Police stated that the complete sequence of events, individual roles, and licensing violations remain under active investigation.
