Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return to Bangladesh once the newly formed caretaker government decides to hold elections, according to her son, Sajeeb Wazed Joy. Hasina fled to India after weeks of violent protests forced her resignation. The interim government excludes Hasina's Awami League party, following a student-led uprising that resulted in her departure amid nationwide violence, which left approximately 300 dead and thousands injured.
