He justified the ban by claiming that social media was used to incite violence after the country's contentious presidential election on July 28. The opposition has claimed victory in the election, a stance increasingly supported by Western governments. Maduro has publicly clashed with Musk since the election, accusing the tech billionaire of "inciting hate, civil war, and death" through his posts on the platform.
