Bumrah incurred a shoulder injury while playing against Delhi Capitals on March 24 at Wankhede stadium. The Indian pacer injured his shoulder after he dived to his left while bowling. This incident took place when Delhi Capitals (DC) wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant tugged the final delivery of DC innings towards Bumrah. While making a dive the ace, Bumrah hit his shoulder on the ground, resulting in an injury. Mumbai Indians in their previous game against Delhi Capitals had a horrible time with the ball, where DC wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant played a fine unbeaten knock of 78 runs in 27 deliveries. DC posted a total of 213/6 by batting first, to which MI inning got succumbed to 176 in 19.2 overs. Jasprit Bumrah also went expensive in the previous game where his figures were 1/40 in 4 overs.
