Anil Kumble has had a commendable career and his spells have a special place in the archives of our memories. He continues to be the third –highest wicket-taker of all time and has earned a legendary status for himself. She instead took to Twitter and poured out how she felt on seeing her favourite cricketer. “The legendary Anil Kumble in my BLR-MUM flight. Glanced at him once and was reminded of that game in West Indies where he bowled with a bandaged jaw. Teared up a bit. Gawwddd, I'm such a sucker for cricket memories", she posted. She further wrote, "I want to go up to @anilkumble1074 and say a 'Thank You' for all the joy, all the victories, all the memories. But, I am getting cold feet,” read her tweet.

Anil Kumble was quick enough to respond to the fan and wrote back to her. “Please feel free to come over and say hi after take off @Mittermaniac.”

The legendary spinner even signed an autograph for her on her boarding pass and it was quite obvious that the fan was on cloud nine.

Talking about Kumble’s mindboggling bowling stats, he took 619 wickets in 132 Test matches and bowled with an impressive average of 29.65. Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan still holds the record for snapping 800 wickets. Shane Warne comes on number two with 708 Test wickets.
