Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly unhappy with the scheduling of Asia Cup 2018 to be played in United Arab Emirates (UAE) this September. BCCI’s unhappiness is obvious given the fact that team India will have to play two back to back matches in the heat of UAE. As per the Asia Cup 2018 schedule, India plays a ‘qualifying team’ on September 18th and then on 19th, the Men in Blue will face traditional-rivals Pakistan. However, it is learnt that the Asia Cup 2018 schedule will be schedule to allow Indian cricket team at least a day’s rest. Though nothing is confirmed as of yet.

After the Asia Cup 2018 scuffle was out, senior BCCI official had criticised the organisers for the ‘mindless’ schedule. "The scheduling is mindless. There appears to be zero application of mind. How can you accept a scenario where India plays a game today and tomorrow it will face its arch-rival Pakistan who will have a two-day period of rest?” the official was quoted as saying on CricketNext. Asia Cup Cricket 2018 Schedule in PDF Download: Time Table and Venue of Asia Cup Cricket Including India vs Pakistan Fixture.

"This is unacceptable and has to be revisited. Maybe for the organisers it is just a money-spinning game but for us it is important that there be equity in scheduling,” the official added.

Chances are India’s match against Pakistan will now be swapped with the Bangladesh vs Afghanistan game on September 20. Bangladesh and Afghanistan play their first match on September 15 and 17 respectively. So, both the teams won’t have any hesitancy to face each other on September 19. Asia Cup 2018 Schedule Annoys Virender Sehwag; Says ’Do Not Play the Tournament’.

India, Pakistan and a qualifying team have been placed in Group A while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan complete Group B.
