On day 3 of Pakistan vs Australia of the second Test match, apart from Babar Azam’s 99 and Sarfraz Ahmed’s 81, it was Azhar Ali’s comical run-out that grabbed headlines. While batting during the 53rd over Azhar Ali thought that he hit a four but the ball stopped a few steps away from the boundary. Since Ali assumed that he hit a four, he walked up to the middle of the pitch to have a started having a casual conversation with Asad. In the whole scheme of things, it was Azhar who was trolled brutally on social media for his run-out. But, New-Zealand cricketer Scott Styris who slammed the Australians for the enforced run-out. He also cited the example of Muttiah Muralitharan who was run-out in the similar fashion by the Kiwis. As a result, the Kiwis got slammed left right and centre. Styris took to Twitter and wrote, “ I’m just waiting for the condemnation of Australia....again....for enforcing the run out in Abu Dhabi! When Azhar Ali spoke about the same and blamed himself for the run-out. On the conclusion of the day three of the match, Ali said, “No, I don't think it was bad sportsmanship [by Australia]. I take full responsibility for it. I was a little bit ignorant. No one came in my way. No one distracted me. It is my own fault. I think they did the right thing.”
