Ronchi's appointment sees him leave his current position as the Black Caps' batting coach, a role he has held since 2020. He will join the Renegades in December, following New Zealand's upcoming home Test series against India.
Luke Ronchi's Global Coaching Pedigree
Ronchi brings a wealth of coaching experience from various high-profile roles. He has served as an assistant coach for New Zealand’s men’s team since their run to the 2019 ODI World Cup final and has stepped up as head coach for Black Caps tours of India and Bangladesh in 2023, as well as a home series against Sri Lanka in 2024. His tenure with the Black Caps saw significant success, including their inaugural ICC World Test Championship win in 2021.
